Stephen A. Smith Thinks Rockets Would Beat Lakers In The Playoffs

The Los Angeles Lakers have been the West’s best team pretty much all season long. With LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and a talented roster of role-players surrounding them, they seem poised for a long and successful career.

When you talk about their greatest challengers, most are inclined to pick the Clippers or Nuggets. But according to Stephen A. Smith, the Rockets should be included in that conversation.

“If Houston ends up running into the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston, we might have a problem [for LA].”

Stephen A. also defended the Harden/Westbrook duo and talked about them in relation to LeBron and AD.

"The very things that you say about LeBron, you've been saying about [Harden and Westbrook] too!"@stephenasmith says @KendrickPerkins is wrong for saying he's not concerned about the Lakers, even if they face the Rockets in the second round. pic.twitter.com/Z6DjNrEo7m

In the Rockets’ first two games since the restart, they’ve gone 2-0 with wins against the Bucks and Mavericks. In those two games, Harden and Westbrook have combined for 135 points.

If this trend continues, you can bet they’ll be a problem for anyone they cross paths with — including the Lakers.

The performance of the duo, their small-ball three-point heavy system, and the drive of their roster to finally bring home the prize will make them a formidable foe this postseason. It will be interesting to witness the results.
