In a surprising turn of events, LeBron James of all people appeared on Kai Cenat’s stream, after Kevin Hart FaceTimed him. At one point, Hart decided to troll LeBron by asking at what time he would be playing in the NBA Finals and the Los Angeles Lakers star hilariously stated he’d be suiting up for Game 8.
Kevin Hart: “What time are you playing on Wednesday?
LeBron James: βThey havenβt sent me the schedule yet, I’mma let you know.”
Kevin Hart: “Well, I gotta come. You know I’m gonna come f*** with you. It’s the Finals, baby, I gotta see you get down.”
Druski: “Bron’s playing?”
Kevin Hart: “He’s LeBron James, of course, he’s in the Finals.”
LeBron James: “Of course I’m playing. Game 8.”
Kai and Druski: LeBron is in the finals?
LeBron: Yeah, Game 8 ππ

I can’t wait to watch LeBron in Game 8, as he is sure to put in a performance for the ages. Jokes aside, it appears Druski and Kai Cenat were actually unaware that James and the Lakers were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in five games by the Denver Nuggets.
LeBron certainly wishes he were playing in the 2024 NBA Finals, but he’s having to make do with watching the series from his couch like the rest of us. The 39-year-old might not be all that pleased by what he’s seeing, though, as the Boston Celtics are up 2-0 against the Dallas Mavericks.
LeBron’s good friend and former teammate Kyrie Irving has come under fire, in particular, for the Mavericks losing these first two games. Irving has struggled mightily and LeBron would be hoping he can turn things around. If he doesn’t, then, well, there is no chance we get a Game 6 or 7 in this series, which would be disappointing.
LeBron James Issued A Stern Response To People Who Claim He Doesn’t Want To Win Anymore
Ever since LeBron moved to Los Angeles to join the Lakers in 2018, there has been talk about winning no longer being the priority for him. The 20-time All-Star had put that to bed for a while by winning a championship in 2020, but with him not winning a title since then, that narrative is being spewed once again. James recently delivered a strong response to his critics who think he isn’t interested in winning NBA titles anymore.
“Do they ever know what theyβre talking about?!”
It is absolutely foolish to think that LeBron isn’t desperate to win more championships. While the desire to play with his son Bronny James certainly is a big reason why he is still playing today, so is his desire to add to his incredible resume, which includes four titles, four Finals MVPs, and four MVPs.
LeBron was reportedly pushing for the Lakers to trade for Irving last year and has seemingly been wanting them to go all-in to improve their current roster. That doesn’t sound to me like someone who doesn’t care about winning.
It remains to be seen, though, whether James can win another championship if he stays with the Lakers. As presently constructed, they are just not good enough to win a title and need to make some moves this offseason. I don’t expect the Lakers to stay put, but if they do, then LeBron needs to strongly consider opting out of that $51.4 million player option and going elsewhere.
