The Boston Celtics are now down 0-2 against the Miami Heat, and there’s no doubt that they are now in a disadvantaged position in the series. They will now have to win multiple away things to get to four wins, which is easier said than done against the Miami Heat.
After the game, a lot of people were ready to blame coach Joe Mazzulla for the Celtics being in a hole. Mazzulla notably got roasted by Jimmy Butler during the game. However, superstar Jayson Tatum wasn’t having it, pointing out that Mazzulla wasn’t the one missing shots or getting turnovers.
“We got his back, he got ours. Joe [Mazzulla] ain’t missing no shots tonight, he ain’t have no turnovers. I missed shots, I had turnovers. Anytime we lose, I look at what I could’ve done better.”

It is clear that Jayson Tatum understands that the blame is on the whole team, not just one person. Everyone has to do better for them to win the series, not just coach Joe Mazzulla.
Thus far in the playoffs, Jayson Tatum has averaged 28.7 PPG, 10.5 RPG, and 5.1 APG for the Boston Celtics. There’s no doubt that he has been playing at a superstar level, but he will need to dig even deeper to get past Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat.
Jayson Tatum Is Confident The Boston Celtics Will Be Able To Come Back In The Series Against The Miami Heat
Jayson Tatum spoke out about the Boston Celtics’ chances to come back against the Miami Heat in Game 2. He admitted that it will be “a challenge” but added that the team has the “utmost confidence” in their ability to win the series.
“It’s tough, it’s a challenge,” Tatum said about being down 2-0. ” It’s no point being up here sad and sh*t. They came in and won two games. They played well you give them credit. But we’re not dead or anything, we got a great opportunity. I still have the utmost confidence, everybody has the utmost confidence. We just got to get ready for Game 3.”
It will be interesting to see if the Boston Celtics are able to rally themselves to two straight victories and win back home-court advantage. They definitely have the talent to do so, but a lot of the pressure will be on Jayson Tatum to keep his team focused and try to win it all.
