The Miami Heat made yet another statement on Friday night with a big win over the Boston Celtics, taking a 2-0 lead in their Eastern Conference Finals series. The Floridian team once again was led by Jimmy Butler, who was on a mission against the C’s.
After putting Grant Williams on him, the Celtics saw some results, but when Butler took over, there was no looking back for him and the Heat. The swingman was so confident in his skills that he even sent a message to Joe Mazzulla, telling him that putting Williams on him was a bad idea.
“You thought this would work?” Jimmy told Mazzulla, according to Mark Jones of ESPN.
This is the moment Miami won💯
I’m told Butler looked at Celtics coach Joe Mazzula and said
“you thought this would work ? ”
And every time Butler hunted and scored on Grant Williams he said “this is what you wanted”.

Butler was set to beat the Celtics again, and he didn’t rest until he completed his mission. The player took it personally against the Celtics, and after Williams got in his face, he took it to a new level.
Jimmy Buckets taunted him whenever he had the chance, attacked him, and made sure he felt he was getting dominated on the court. After the game, Butler rejected the idea that his altercation with Williams had something to do with his team’s win.
Still, many people believed Williams poked the bear, and Butler made him pay for that. Now, Miami is set to end this series at home, and the fans hope to see Butler putting up another clinic against the team that prevented him from making it to the Finals last season.
Jimmy Butler Made It Clear Rivals Shouldn’t Trash Talk Him
Butler made it clear it is a bad idea to talk trash to him, even though he claimed Williams’ words didn’t spark anything inside of him. He’s a competitor and no matter who the rival is or what they try to throw at him, Butler will be ready to respond.
Miami keeps their Cinderella run alive, and with two more wins, they’ll become the first No. 8 seed in NBA history to reach the NBA Finals. Things can get very interesting for this team as long as Butler remains healthy.
