Big man Victor Wembanyama is clearly one of the most hyped prospects in recent years, and many are high on what he can eventually become. The No. 1 pick in the draft lottery went to the San Antonio Spurs, and it is almost certain that they will end up picking Wembanyama with it.

It seems as though the team already has a plan on how to help Victor Wembanyama get the most out of his talent. It was recently reported that the young prospect will be mentored by legends Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker.

The San Antonio Spurs have a reputation for player development, and they are definitely the right franchise to help Victor Wembanyama become the superstar people believe he can be. Getting mentorship from three franchise legends is going to be fantastic for his growth there’s no doubt that they will be of huge help in Wembanyama’s development.

Some Believe Victor Wembanyama Has GOAT Potential

There is no doubt that Victor Wembanyama has a high ceiling, and the main question is generally how good he can be. In fact, one agent believes that he can become the GOAT in the future.

“If he’s not hurt, he’ll be the greatest player ever,” said the agent, who has multiple clients playing overseas and in the NBA.

“He’s the best player in the league and the level of players he’s playing against are the best players in the Pac-12, the best college players, borderline NBA guys — and he’s dominating,” the agent added. “Dominating.

“Wembanyama’s physicality, I think people underestimate because he’s so thin. He’s a physically strong dude. When everything opens in the NBA, he’s going to be unstoppable, totally unstoppable. He’ll be the best rim protector in the NBA from day one. And then offensively he’ll be an efficient, unstoppable force from day one.”

It is clear that there is a lot of pressure for Victor Wembanyama to be a great player. Some have already stated that he will be a failure if his career is at the level of Kevin Durant and Hakeem Olajuwon. Hopefully, he does become the great player everyone expects, but it is fair to say that the expectations should be lowered a little bit.
