Dwight Howard had enough of the criticism that came his way after his Taiwan commercial shoot went viral.

“In 100 years none of us will be here. Just go live. And no more English especially if it’s negative,” the former Los Angeles Lakers big man tweeted.

Howard has been a hit in Taiwan after he found no takers in 2021. He waited for a team to sign him, before finally inking a $1 million deal with the Taoyuan Leopards. He made an immediate splash with the team notching up 38 points, 25 rebounds, nine assists, and nine blocks. By the end of the regular season, he was averaging 23.2 points, 16.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists during the regular season.

His efforts also saw him garner the interest of Venezuelan basketball teams. Per Cancha Latina, reports of a Venezuelan team, Guaros de Lara, interested in acquiring the big man did the round last month.

Can Dwight Howard Make An NBA Comeback?

His performances for the Leopards were pretty impressive and show that Howard still has what it takes to make an impact in the modern-day NBA.

The eight-time All-Star and three-time Defensive Player of the Year has proved to be an impact player off the bench, and the better example was winning a ring with the Lakers in 2020 for his mercurial style of play. He might be old-school, but the big man out his size is to good use to play his role in the Lakers’ defense.

Howard’s chances of making a comeback are slim, but such has been the nature of the league that he may have a shot at some point. He’s kept himself in solid shape and has shown that he’s got what it takes to survive. Best to not write off Howard, not just yet.
