There will be debates from fans on both sides that will take it too far, but it’s hard to say that Green didn’t know what he was doing. Draymond is one of the most intelligent basketball players in the NBA, and he can clearly be seen preventing Sabonis from getting up off the floor.
This happened when there were a little over 10 seconds left on the shot clock, and if the Warriors had made a shot, they would have taken the lead. That’s not how it panned out and eventually, the Sacramento Kings sealed a historic win, but Draymond Green’s action in this instance will not be a huge help to his reputation within the NBA.

In any case, it didn’t even work, the Warriors lost to the Kings and will now attempt to regroup and win Game 2. Considering how close it was, the Dubs will take heart in knowing that they can win, though.
