Draymond Green is a highly competitive player, he does things no one else will. This has helped the Golden State Warriors set a tone for their dynasty, but there are times when he goes too far.

During a clutch possession in the Golden State Warriors Game 1 loss against the Sacramento Kings, Draymond Green stopped Domantas Sabonis by sitting on him after they fell down together. The play got noticed by a lot of people as it stopped Sabonis from participating in the possession.

Green was called out with the caption: “Draymond Green takes a seat n Sabonis, preventing him from getting involved on a crucial game-defining play.”

There will be debates from fans on both sides that will take it too far, but it’s hard to say that Green didn’t know what he was doing. Draymond is one of the most intelligent basketball players in the NBA, and he can clearly be seen preventing Sabonis from getting up off the floor.

This happened when there were a little over 10 seconds left on the shot clock, and if the Warriors had made a shot, they would have taken the lead. That’s not how it panned out and eventually, the Sacramento Kings sealed a historic win, but Draymond Green’s action in this instance will not be a huge help to his reputation within the NBA.

Draymond Green Has Been Called Out For Being A Dirty Player In The Past

While he has calmed down a little as he has gotten older and more established, Draymond Green is known to still make some questionable plays. Earlier in the season, fans called him out for pushing Jock Landale into Cam Johnson as he went up for a layup. And Cedric Maxwell has gone a step further when it comes to calling Green out.

“I’m gonna be as clear as I can. That s**t Draymond Green was doing, during the 80s he would have gotten knocked the f**k out.”

In any case, it didn’t even work, the Warriors lost to the Kings and will now attempt to regroup and win Game 2. Considering how close it was, the Dubs will take heart in knowing that they can win, though. As for the Kings, a playoff victory after 16 years means they’re likely not worrying too much about Draymond’s shenanigans at the moment.
