Stephen Curry made his return to the court after a lengthy absence since before the All-Star break in a 105-113 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers earlier today.
This was the Warriors’ 24th loss away from home and ended a 5-game winning streak for the franchise. Steph was frustrated with how the team struggled against the Lakers, away from their own Chase Center.
“Our road splits have been trash this year, in all categories. We’re trying to correct that as much as possible. This is our challenge. First quarter, we were down 20 and to fight our way back, shows you how much this matters to us. To try and get over the hump on the road, just got to have a better start.”

Only 3 teams have a worse away record than Golden State this season. Those teams are the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, and the Detroit Pistons. Golden State is 7-24 away from home this season, a really concerning statistic for a team that hopes to be playoff contenders.
Is It Time To Start Worrying About Golden State?
For most of the season, many people have given the Warriors a pass because of their proven track record in the playoffs. However, they are 34-31 after 67 games this season and only have 15 more contests to prove to everyone that they are of playoff caliber.
Given the team’s inconsistencies all season long, it’s hard to definitively say they have the ability to beat out teams like Denver or Phoenix. However, they are the defending champions that can put it together at a moment’s notice, so everyone will be wary of them until their season is over with a playoff series loss. The worries will come next season when there’s proof of them losing in the West.
