LeBron James went down with another injury last Sunday during a big Los Angeles Lakers win over the Dallas Mavericks.

While his potential return to the court has been revealed, more details about this injury saw the light, including how long LeBron has played through it.

“The interesting part here is I’m told that he initially hurt that right foot in January,” said senior insider Shams Charania. “He was faced with a decision at that point to shut it down for an amount of time or keep playing on it. He decided because of where the Lakers were in January… He decided to keep playing on it.”

LeBron made it clear he was on a mission this season. The King has been doing so much on the court to help his team win more games than they’ve won so far. Unfortunately, some of his heroics weren’t enough for them, but LeBron never stopped trying.

Last season, the 4x NBA player vowed never to miss the playoffs again in his career, and even though he deleted that tweet, the promise was still there and tried as much as he could to fulfill it.

LeBron James Still Considered The Best Player In The NBA

Amid this incredible season for the 38-year-old, many former players showed some love for LeBron, picking him as the best player in the NBA right now, surpassing MVP candidates Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo in a poll conducted by The Athletic.

For the season, LeBron is averaging 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game in 47 duels, shooting 50.1% from the field and 75.9% from the free-throw line.

This perfectly shows how incredible LeBron still is at his age, and if that wasn’t enough, he showed up and showed out for his Lakers, trying to keep them afloat in a season that hasn’t been the best for them.

LeBron will reportedly be out for at least 3 weeks, meaning he could return as soon as March 14, but another week could happen if the injury doesn’t heal as expected.
