Draymond Green Jokingly Calls Klay Thompson Out For Behaving Childishly On The Team Plane: “Klay Will Throw Stuff At People, Like Skittles And Popcorn, And Then Do The Whole Close His Eye Thing And Act Like One Of Us Threw It.”

The Golden State Warriors have won 4 championships in the last 8 seasons, and that has largely been thanks to their core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. Steph and Klay are arguably the most excellent shooting backcourt of all time, and Green takes care of many of the other intangibles. Playmaking, defense, and hustle are all his forte, and the trio complements each other incredibly well.

As close as they are on the court, they are somehow even closer off it. The three have come up together and built the Warriors’ dynasty, which means they have a bond that is quite rare in the NBA. And while Curry is an extremely family-oriented man off the court, both Green and Thompson are known for having fun.

Klay’s boat adventures are the stuff of legend, while Draymond can be spotted from time to time, partying it up with other NBA superstars. However, when they are on the team plane and such, all three are together, and Klay’s slightly immature side comes out in hilarious ways. Draymond shared a hilarious story on the Draymond Green Show.

(starts at 10:27 minutes):

“I sit with Klay and Steph, we sit at this little table away from everybody else,” Green said. “We talk sometimes, we sleep sometimes. Klay is very childish so Klay will throw stuff at people, like skittles and popcorn and then do the whole close his eye thing and act like one of us threw it, that’s Klay so you get a little glimpse of sitting with Klay.”

This is a prank almost everyone has pulled at some point in their lives, especially when they are children or teenagers. To think about a championship-winning NBA player doing this is quite hilarious, but that’s also part of what makes Thompson so lovable. This Warriors team thrives on the camaraderie that exists between them, and Klay’s occasional goofiness is surely a major contributing factor.
