Gilbert Arenas Says The 1995-96 Bulls Would Defeat The 2016-17 Golden State Warriors: “There’s Nobody Stopping Michael From Getting To The Basket.”

There have been many amazing teams constructed over the years in the NBA. While some of them have lived up to the expectations, many haven’t. But today our focus is on the former.

Even among them, the two best teams to have ever been created are unarguably the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls and the 2016-17 Golden State Warriors. The Bulls featured the legendary trio of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman.

In the 95-96 season, the Bulls finished the season with a record of 72-10. Additionally, they also won the NBA Championship that year.

As for the 16-17 Warriors, they had a record of 67-15 and the team featured Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green. The Warriors also managed to win the title as they dominated the league with ease.

But what if these two teams ever faced off against each other? Well, former NBA superstar Gilbert Arenas was asked this question in a recent interview. Arenas believes that this fixture will be a perfect matchup and in the end, the Bulls will win the series.

“It’s a perfect matchup. But when you talking about somebody like (Michael) Jordan coming through the lane, like, he’s going to average forty-something in that series because there’s no one that can physically stop him. It’s going to be KD and Jordan. Those are going to be two premier players because they don’t have a seven-footer that’s going to be able to keep up with him. No matter if you put Pippen on him or Jordan, he’s still going to be able to pull up on anybody. It’s those two, and then Jordan is going to carry. I’ll give them one, maybe two. I mean, like, depending on how mad Michael is. You gotta remember, KD is just a different beast. He can carry a team because he’s gonna put Pippen in foul trouble, he’ll put those guys in foul trouble but there’s nobody stopping Michael from getting to the basket. But I don’t think Golden State wins this series.”

This is another of those debates where fans will never agree on the same answer. Each fan, sports analyst, and player will have a different opinion about this.

But if we were to pick a winner from this matchup, we would definitely go with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.
