NBA players are not just ball players but pop culture figures by their presence in the league. As a result, they touch shoulders with some of the biggest names in sports, entertainment, and politics.

The Boston Celtics social media team decided to ask a few stars on the team who the most famous person on their phone was. The results were interesting.

Jayson Tatum revealed he had Jay-Z’s number before also saying he had Michael Jordan‘s number. Grant Williams said he had Mark Wahlberg’s number and even facetimed the actor on camera.

Jaylen Brown pulled out a massive flex by naming former US President Barack Obama. Sam Hauser sheepishly said Blake Griffin, while Robert Williams named the two All-Stars on the Celtics for his list. Derrick White named Steve Aoki, while Blake Griffin himself said Hailey Beiber.

All these players can further boost their public profile and basketball legacy if they can finally deliver on their championship potential and deliver a title this season.

Can The Celtics Win It All?

Through the first few months of the season, it seemed the Celtics winning the title could be a foregone conclusion. They were looking unbeatable and led the league standings for most of the year. The winter saw them steadily lose their lead over the East before being surpassed by the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Celtics have proven they can take the fight to the top teams in the East, recently beating a healthy Bucks squad by over 40 points. On the other hand, they also just gave up 52 points to Joel Embiid in a tough loss

The team has inconsistencies on the offensive end, where they can look red-hot one game and ice-cold the next. Thankfully, they are mostly solid defensively and have switchable options throughout their roster. If health is on their side and they have the services of Robert Williams throughout the playoffs, it will be very tough to beat the Celtics in a 7-game series. They have a genuine shot at going back to the NBA Finals and bringing Boston its 18th NBA Championship.
