The Chicago Bulls already have big issues to address this offseason, and as the days go by, things are getting worse for the six-time NBA champions.

Lonzo Ball has been a big source of concern for the Bulls, and things can be getting worse in the next months, as the team is reportedly preparing to never see Lonzo Ball play again.

“Even though publicly there has been an expression of guarded optimism regarding a future for Lonzo Ball… They don’t think it’s likely that he ever plays again,” Dan Bernstein said on the ‘Organization Wins Championships’ podcast.

This is a big blow for the Chicago Bulls, who already had some issues to worry about with DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine potentially leaving the team. Now, Lonzo could join them on their way out of the team if this situation doesn’t get any better.

Ball has undergone a series of surgeries to treat his knee injury and the most recent procedure appears to be the one that will make or break. The point guard is hoping that this works for him, but the team might be having different thoughts about it.

Lonzo Has Undergone Many Surgeries In The Past Two Seasons

A couple of months ago, Ball underwent a cartilage transplant to try to fix his knee once and for all, but things could be bad soon if the situation doesn’t develop as expected.

The Bulls have a lot of questions to answer this offseason, as they don’t plan to start a rebuilding process again but also don’t seem to have a clear path with DeRozan and LaVine on the roster.

Recent rumors suggest they could part ways with one of them to make the other the alpha male on the team, while their GM claims that they’ll run it back next season, trying to show a different face. The Bulls are a complex franchise right now, and nothing points out that they’ll be different in the near future.
