Following another disappointing end to their season, the Chicago Bulls have a lot of questions to answer this offseason.

It seems, however, like the biggest one is already answered, as the team’s vice president of basketball operations denies that they will blow up the roster.

“Blow it up… Rebuild, it’s not on our mind. we changed our minds in the 2021 season to focus on winning and try to build a sustainable program here,” Arturas Karnisovas said, via Jamal Collier.

As soon as they lost to the Miami Heat on Friday night, many people blasted them and wondered if this was the route for the Bulls. The DeMar DeRozan-Zach LaVine association hasn’t paid off for the Bulls, who keep trying to find a new golden generation to win championships as they did in the 90s.

LaVine has been linked with a move away from Chicago, but it doesn’t seem like the team is planning to part ways with him. DeRozan appears to be the cornerstone of this franchise, but the rest is unknown to a lot of people. They could make some moves this summer and bring more firepower to the roster.

The Chicago Bulls Could Land Damian Lillard

Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard has been followed by a lot of teams, and the Bulls were recently urged to try to join Dame’s sweepstakes. This won’t be easy to accomplish, but the Bulls can seemingly complete a ‘megadeal’ to land Lillard.

Of course, this is a long shot for them and everybody else, but crazier things have happened in the NBA.

Karnisovas also stated that he wants to re-sign both Nikola Vucevic and Coby White this offseason, meaning he’s set to run it back, although some changes could be coming for the six-time NBA champions. They are at risk of becoming a mid-team, and that won’t be pleasant for fans.
