When healthy, Lonzo Ball is a quality point guard, capable of rebounding, defending, shooting, and passing at a high level. There’s no doubt that he’s a highly impactful player who has unfortunately dealt with a number of injuries throughout his career.

Recently, another unfortunate update about Lonzo Ball has been reported by Shams Charania. The insider claimed that Lonzo Ball will go on to have his third surgery on his left knee, and will almost all of the 2023-24 season if not all of it.

Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball will undergo a third surgery on his left knee that is expected to cost him most, if not all, of the 2023-24 season, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

The sides are optimistic of the procedure reviving Ball's career. 🙏🏽

There is no doubt that this is an unfortunate development, and hopefully, we see Lonzo Ball recover and be able to get back on the court. Many viewed him as a player with star-level potential, and hopefully, we see him get close to that level in the future. He affects every area of the court, and it would be amazing to see a healthy Lonzo Ball play for the Chicago Bulls in the future.

As of right now, all we can do is wait to see how Lonzo Ball will recover from his procedure. Injuries are the most unfortunate part of basketball, and hopefully, we see Lonzo Ball come back better than ever with this procedure. He is an extremely talented player, though it is clear that injuries have affected his career drastically. Medicine has advanced through the years, though, and perhaps Lonzo Ball will come back and be an elite point guard once again.
