- DeMar DeRozan was put on a “most overrated players” list by Bleacher Report
- The star took to Twitter to respond to the list
- The star seemingly referenced consistently being underrated
Forward DeMar DeRozan is one of the best midrange scorers in the NBA, and he is one of the most consistent stars in the NBA. He is one of the best players on the Chicago Bulls and was one of the reasons the team managed to get to the play-in tournament this season.
However, there is no doubt that DeMar DeRozan has his haters. In fact, he was recently put on an “overrated players” list by Bleacher Report. In a recent Tweet, DeMar DeRozan seemingly responded to his placement on that list.
Same ol Bullshit!

At this point, it is unfair to call DeMar DeRozan overrated. If anything, he is an underrated player in today’s league. Though his playstyle doesn’t fit our idea of what a modern scorer should look like, his midrange ability is an asset when it comes to the playoffs. Hopefully, we see DeMar DeRozan have a good season next year and show the haters that they’re wrong about him and his game.
Last season, DeMar DeRozan averaged 24.5 PPG, 4.6 RPG, and 5.1 APG for the Chicago Bulls. He is still a star-level player and could be a difference-maker on a competitive franchise.
DeMar DeRozan Believes He Could Have Won 2019 Championship With Raptors If He Wasn’t Traded
DeMar DeRozan is notably a franchise legend for the Toronto Raptors, a team with which he spent nine years of his career. The team notably won the 2019 championship after moving him for Kawhi Leonard, but DeRozan believes he could have accomplished the same thing.
“Most definitely,” Demar said. “It sucks that we couldn’t see what could have happened with me still being there. That just changes the whole dynamic and everything but I definitely felt that way. I congratulated all those guys for winning that championship, every guy that I played with, everybody that was there, especially that city, they deserved it. We would have done the same thing.”
We will never know if DeMar DeRozan would be able to win a championship with the Toronto Raptors. He can win one in the future as a complementary player next to a superstar, but if and where that happens remains to be seen.
