The Golden State Warriors got torched in Game 6 by LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, leading to them being eliminated. A lot of players apart from Stephen Curry were questioned for their poor displays, but some of them seemed to be in an oddly good mood.

Draymond Green‘s friendship with LeBron James is well known by now. But it was a bit wild to see Green smiling as the Warriors’ season came to an end, along with their streak in the Western Conference playoffs. And fans noticed that Stephen Curry had an entirely different reaction to the whole thing.

Draymond Green enjoyed whatever conversation it was that he had with LeBron James, he was spotted smiling by the camera immediately afterward. Meanwhile, while Curry still accepted the respect that LeBron showed him, he was very evidently unhappy with the way things had ended up.

Draymond Green is generally the most passionate guy around, but he seemed a bit too relaxed in this situation. Fans obviously had a lot to say about it.

Some fans just couldn’t understand how they could have such different reactions at the same moment.

While there is no point in reading too much into it, the fact remains that looking happy after losing will always make the fans angry.

While most took issue with the way Draymond reacted, there is no way NBA fans or media can know what it is like to be in those moments. Reactions are spontaneous, adrenaline is flowing, so as one fan said, both were right to react in the way they did.

Correct behavior or not, this loss was a painful one for the Warriors’ stars. Draymond Green could still be gone this offseason, and his friendliness with LeBron James has started to look more like a concern.

Draymond Green Says He Wants To Be A Warrior For Life

Draymond Green has helped make the Golden State Warriors what they are today. But with his contract potentially ending this offseason, he has options to move. Instances like this make people think he will be a Laker, but it seems that the man himself wants something else.

Speaking after the game, Draymond Green said that he would like to be a Warrior for life. A player that has given as much as he has deserves to be kept around too. But there seems to be a much bigger chance than imagined that his future might end up being away from the Warriors.
