Gabrielle Union made some interesting comments about her marriage with Dwyane Wade and the way they manage their finances. The Hollywood actress made a big revelation, saying she and Wade split everything 50-50 at home.
The Miami Heat legend clarified those comments on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” show, revealing where that idea originally came from.
“My wife looked at me and said, ‘You will never say that to me again when it’s something that we share,'” Wade recalled. “So when we moved to (Los Angeles) my wife said, ‘I got half on it you will never say ‘my house’ again – you can say that in the arena!'”
Wade makes it clear that instead of having half of everything, they agree to purchase things together.
“We decided that certain pieces of our life, we would share in it,” Wade added.
Flash adds that they both have things to take care of in their respective families, and none gets involved in each other’s business when it comes to that.
“I have 20 to 50 responsibilities and my wife has 20 to 50 responsibilities and when I say that, that means she has her mother, she has her sisters, she has her dad so she has a lot of things she’s responsible for,” Wade said.
Wade reveals that they signed a prenup to make sure their money is safe and if they ever got in separate ways, things don’t get messy.
“I told her the same way, ‘I’ll sign a prenup too. You’re a millionaire, you got money. You work hard for yourself.'”
Dwyane is one of the best players in NBA history after his honored career finished in 2019. He made history with the Miami Heat, winning three championships in five Finals appearances, becoming the greatest player in franchise history.
