Dillon Brooks has received a lot of negative attention from people following his antics in the Grizzlies’ first-round loss against the Lakers.

Brooks talked a lot of trash to LeBron James, which backfired on him spectacularly. And it was the latest in a long line of incidents surrounding him. This is what likely led the Memphis Grizzlies to suggest that they would not re-sign him. And now former Bulls player Stacey King has said Chicago should go for him in free agency.

“I think we I think people have blown it out of proportion with the trash talk,” King said, as per Heavy. “That kid’s gonna get picked up by somebody if I’m a playoff caliber team – if I’m the Bulls – if I can get him at an affordable price, oh, yeah. I’m bringing him on this roster.”

Dillon Brooks may not be as great as he thinks he is, but he is still a great role player with a lot of upside. If he can improve his shot selection and continue to defend hard, he will be a great addition to any NBA team. And with his value at an all-time low, it would make a lot of sense for a team like the Bulls to acquire him.

Miami Heat Are Among The Favorites To Sign Dillon Brooks

Numerous teams could benefit from having a player like Dillon Brooks on their team, especially if they can get him for a bit cheaper. Our writer, Eddie Bitar, compiled a list of five franchises that could be a good fit for Brooks in free agency. But as far as the betting pool goes on where he might land, it seems the Miami Heat are surprising frontrunners for his signature

“The Miami Heat are 4/1 favorites to land Brooks, while the Dallas Mavericks are a close cond at 5/1. The Sacramento Kings have 11/2 odds, while the Houston Rockets have 6/1 odds in a fairly open race for Brooks’ signature.”

Dillon Brooks will have a chip on his shoulder considering how ruthlessly he has been trolled since the playoffs ended. He has everything it takes to be a force in the NBA and affect winning, and he will be itching to prove his doubters wrong. And if he has learned not to make himself a villain in this process, he will be a valuable addition to whatever team decides to go for him.
