During his 16-year career, Kevin Durant has played with incredible talent in the NBA. The 2x NBA champion has shared touches with some of the most talented players of this generation, trying to compete for big things.

KD has probably had the most talented teammates in NBA history, and he even has a favorite among all the players he played with. However, Gilbert Arenas thinks that the current star that shares touches with Durant is the one that better fits him.

For the former player, Devin Booker is the best sidekick for Kevin Durant.

“You know now this is a hot take; this is the hot take right here. Forget the championship rings; forget the final product. Is this player we’re seeing the best sidekick that Kevin Durant has ever played with? What I’m saying is when you’re talking about just their game themselves, when you’re talking about Kyrie with him, you’re talking about Steph with him, you’re talking about Russ with him – is Book the best player?” Agent Zero said on Gil’s Arena.

“I know Steph got two championships. The first thing we want to say is him, but Steph averaged 26, right? I’m talking about just the production that’s with them; this 37 a game since they’ve been together, he’s in the 30s,” Arenas added.

Durant played his first nine seasons on the Oklahoma City Thunder, sharing touches with Russell Westbrook. They went to one NBA Finals in 2012, but LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh stopped them from winning the championship. After several years of trying to win without success, KD decided to join the Golden State Warriors in 2016.

He spent three seasons in the Bay, creating a terrific superteam with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. The Warriors went to three NBA Finals, winning two of them.

After his stint with the Dubs finished, Durant joined the Brooklyn Nets, creating another talented tandem with Kyrie Irving. In the process, they had James Harden and Ben Simmons as teammates, but neither could actually mesh with Durant and Irving.

They only reached the second round of the playoffs as their best result, disappointing a lot of people who had a lot of faith in them.

In terms of results, it seems like Stephen Curry clears everyone here, but Arenas thinks Booker is the best partner for Durant at this point in his career.

Kevin Durant And Devin Booker Failed To Help Suns Against Nuggets

Still, this doesn’t change the fact that they couldn’t lead the Phoenix Suns to the promised land. The Denver Nuggets came and conquered the Suns, beating them in six games, ending their championship dreams in the second round.

Durant had big praise for the Nuggets, saying that they were on another level and the Suns could never catch up. Now, they’re ready to recover and return stronger next season.

Durant and Booker disappeared when the team most needed them, and next season will bring a lot of pressure on them. It’s championship or bust for this duo, as the Suns don’t think their window is closed at all.
