In The Last 3 Seasons, The Team That Beat Jimmy Butler Has Won The NBA Championship

Jimmy Butler has proven in the last few years that he is one of the best players in the NBA. Butler has consistently pushed his teams to contend for the NBA championship, and he has made his presence felt in the NBA playoffs.

But Butler hasn’t quite been able to reach the NBA championship, something he has spent a long time chasing. And if we look at the last 3 NBA champions, all of them had to overcome Jimmy Butler in the playoffs.

As pointed out by BR Betting, the last 3 NBA champions have defeated teams that Jimmy Butler was playing for en route to winning the NBA championship.

Over the past three seasons, the team that knocked out Jimmy Butler has eventually won the NBA Finals 👀

The 2019 Toronto Raptors led by Kawhi Leonard eliminated Jimmy Butler and the Philadelphia 76ers, thanks to one of the greatest buzzer beaters in NBA history.

In 2020, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers had to defeat Jimmy Butler, who was now playing for the Miami Heat, in the NBA Finals to lift their 17th NBA championship trophy.

And in 2021, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks carried out a dominant sweep of the Miami Heat, eliminating them after just 4 games in the first round, getting revenge on Butler and the Heat for eliminating them in the playoffs the previous year.

Jimmy Butler has promised to put an end to this next season, as he guaranteed that he and the Miami Heat would be back next season and push to win the NBA championship.

2022 could see an extension of this streak, as the Boston Celtics, who eliminated Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat to get to the Finals, could end up shocking the Golden State Warriors and winning the NBA championship.

But considering the experience the Warriors have over the Celtics, especially in the NBA Finals, that will be a tall task. But the Celtics defeated the Heat, who did have experience playing in an NBA Finals, so maybe the Celtics should not be ruled out so easily.
