Nikola Jokic is the face of the Denver Nuggets, and he is in MVP consideration this season. Many believe that he has carried the team this year, and it seems as though a lot of people tend to gloss over the talented players that are actually on the Nuggets roster.

After the Denver Nuggets managed to beat the Golden State Warriors without Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray clapped back at the haters who don’t believe in the Denver Nuggets when they don’t have a superstar.

“I’ve played without [Nikola Jokic] before, I think guys have played without Joker before. We know how to play basketball. It’s just basketball,” Murray said. “I thought everyone showed up. If you’re wondering about the offense, I thought the offense played great. I thought we got exactly what we wanted. We’re not the worst team when Jokic is not on the court. I really don’t like that. I thought everyone stepped up and played well. Coach was great. I thought he made great adjustments and just keeping us positive…We know how to play basketball, no matter who’s out there.”

There is no doubt that the Nuggets’ roster has elite players such as Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., and Aaron Gordon. Nikola Jokic is far from the only talented player on that team, and his teammates should be given more respect.

Jamal Murray is one of the best point guards in the league, and there is no doubt that he is elite on the offensive end, being able to get a good shot against anyone in the league. As of right now, he is averaging 20.3 PPG, 4.0 RPG, and 6.2 APG for the Nuggets, and hopefully, he has a good playoff run this year.

Jamal Murray Believes He’s Better Than Some Of The Players That Were Selected To The All-Star Team This Season

It is clear that Jamal Murray is an elite player, and it seems as though the star is confident in himself. Previously, he claimed that he knows he’s better than some of the players selected for the All-Star game this year.

“I know that I’m better than some of the All-Stars that are in there, yeah. For sure. No question.”

Hopefully, we see Jamal Murray show the world that he is a top-tier point guard in the playoffs this season. He will be an x-factor in how far the Denver Nuggets get this season, and if Murray is at his best they are hard to stop. Notably, we saw the star predict that the Nuggets could make the Finals this year, and we’ll see what ends up happening in the future.
