The Cleveland Cavaliers were shockingly eliminated by the New York Knicks in the playoffs, with the series finishing 4-1. It is clear that the Cavaliers were unable to deal with the Knicks’ elite defense, and they often struggled to get points on the board.

One of the players that struggled in the playoffs was center Jarrett Allen. The former All-Star only averaged 9.4 PPG, 7.4 RPG, and 2.4 APG in the playoffs this year, and it is clear that the center looked like a shell of what we saw from him in the regular season. Recently, Jarrett Allen admitted that he felt the pressure in the playoffs.

“The lights were brighter than expected,” said Allen.

A lot of good players have tough playoff series, and Jarrett Allen is no exception. Hopefully, we see the center learn from this brutal loss and come back better than ever next season.

In the regular season, Jarrett Allen averaged 14.3 PPG, 9.8 RPG, and 1.7 APG for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Hopefully, we see an even better season from him next year, and we’ll see what happens in the future.

Donovan Mitchell Spoke Out After The Cavaliers Were Eliminated By The Knicks

There is no doubt that losing to the New York Knicks was a tough blow for the Cleveland Cavaliers, especially because many considered them the superior team from a talent standpoint. After the Cavaliers got eliminated, Donovan Mitchell didn’t mince words, simply stating that the Knicks outplayed his team.

“We did a lot of special things this year, but for it to end this way doesn’t feel right,” Mitchell said. “I’m proud of every one of those guys in this locker room, the coaching staff, and everybody, but they outplayed us. Gotta give credit where credit is due. Simple as that.”

Hopefully, the Cleveland Cavaliers are able to bounce back from this series loss to become a better team in the future. They still have a lot of young talent on the roster, and they could easily decide to keep most of their core.

It will be interesting to see how the Cleveland Cavaliers will approach this offseason, though, as they could potentially make another swing to try and become a true contender. If they can add a two-way wing player with a little bit of shot creation, they could end up being a really special team, and we’ll have to wait to see what the offseason holds for them following this first-round exit.
