The Boston Celtics avoided elimination in Game 6 vs. the Philadelphia 76ers. The Eastern Conference Semifinals between the two sides will be decided by the final clash at TD Garden.

Jaylen Brown addressed the Celtics fans in the postgame conference. Brown called out the fans and sent them a clear message before the Game 7 clash against Joel Embiid and the 76ers.

“I’m hoping that it’s gonna be loud, and it’s gonna be rocking,” Brown said. “Celtics fans, y’all love to call us out, right? So, I’m gonna call you guys out this time. The energy at the Garden has been OK, at best, all playoffs. Game 7, if you’re there or if you’re not there. If you’re at home, or if you’re at a bar, if you watching down the street at a friend’s house, I don’t care. I need y’all to be up, I need you to come with the energy because we need every bit of it. No excuses. We need everybody. So, I’m calling you guys out. Let’s make sure the Garden is ready to go.”

The Celtics have had their fair share of ups and downs in the series, but it all comes down to Game 7 now. If the crowd’s energy is through the roof, it will help the players dominate the 76ers.

But apart from that, Brown needs to bring out his A-game, as he recorded 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in the Game 6 win.

Jaylen Brown Blasted Toxic Celtics Fans

Being a superstar in the NBA is not an easy task by any means. The fans have a tendency to get too harsh with words if they do not like a player’s performance.

Jaylen Brown has had his fair share of showdowns with fans, including the fanbase of his own team. A couple of months ago, Brown called out a part of the Celtics Nation for being toxic.

It’s not the whole Celtic fanbase, but it is a part of the fanbase that exists within the Celtic Nation that is problematic. If you have a bad game, they tie it with your personal character,” Brown shared. “I definitely think there’s a group or an amount within the Celtic nation that is extremely toxic and does not want to see athletes use their platform, or they just want you to play basketball and entertain and go home. And that’s a problem to me.”

To be honest, if the Celtics have an underwhelming game in the final matchup of the series, Brown and co. need to be ready for the wrath of their fans. After all, they were the second in the East and went to the NBA Finals last season.

Anything less than another NBA Finals appearance would amount to a disappointing season for the fans. But let’s hope the fans do not cross the line, even if their team fails to get out of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
