Star Jimmy Butler has a penchant for showing up in the biggest moments, and there’s no doubt that he’s had an amazing run with the Miami Heat in the playoffs. The team has made an improbable run to the NBA Finals under his leadership, despite being in the play-in tournament at the conclusion of the regular season.

Many have been impressed with what Jimmy Butler has been able to accomplish in the postseason. In fact, an NBA scout has recently claimed that he went from being a top-20 player to being in the top 10.

“Before this run, I would have said he’s a top 20 player in the league,” the scout told Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. “He’s got to be top 10. His competitiveness is top three, the will to win is All NBA quality. And he does it when it counts. A little surprised where he has gotten them. His record speaks for itself.”

There is no doubt that this is an accurate take, and Jimmy Butler’s playoff performances definitely suggest that he is a superstar in the playoffs. Though his regular season production doesn’t necessarily suggest that he is a superstar, he definitely is one when things matter.

In the playoffs, Jimmy Butler has put up 22.9 PPG, 5.9 RPG, and 5.3 APG for the Miami Heat. He has had an immense impact on the team in all areas of the court, and we’ll see if he can make this series against the Nuggets competitive.

Jimmy Butler Trusts All His Teammates To Perform At A High Level

Though a lot of the attention has been on Jimmy Butler during his team’s Finals run, it is clear that other players on the Miami Heat have stepped up as well. Jimmy Butler clearly appreciates what they can do on the court, and Butler previously claimed that he has the utmost “belief and faith” in their offensive ability.

“I think I’ve done well in that area,” Butler said. “I’m always gonna pass the ball to my teammates. I have so much belief and faith in them that they’re going to take and make shots, and If they can’t, then they are gonna make the next play. That’s how we played all year long, that’s not gonna change now that we’re in the Finals.”

It will be interesting to see if the Heat are able to keep up with the Nuggets’ high-powered offense. They are a disciplined team with great defense, but ultimately, they will need to score buckets to have a chance in the series.
