Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat continued their great form in the postseason in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals vs. the New York Knicks.

While the Heat registered a comfortable 108-101 win over the Knicks, Jimmy Butler gave the fanbase a panic attack when he rolled his ankle during the fourth quarter. After the game, Butler opened up on the seriousness of his injury.

“Find a way to win. Be out there. Be a presence. I didn’t do too much, except for air balling a three, but I’ll take the dub.”

Butler added, “Like a rolled ankle,” when asked about how it was feeling.

Jimmy was unclear about the level of discomfort in his ankle. It could be bad news for the team as the 33-year-old was limping when he made two free throws after going down with the injury.

Butler finished the game with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists to his name while playing a team-high 43 minutes.

Jimmy Butler On Facing The New York Knicks

Jimmy Butler gathered nothing but praise from the NBA community for his first-round heroics vs. the Milwaukee Bucks.

Many are focusing on the aspect of Jimmy Butler playing against his former coach, Tom Thibodeau. But Jimmy doesn’t have that matchup on his priority, instead, he just wants to win the series as a team.

“We’re gonna do all of this as a team. We’re not gonna make this a Thibs vs. myself thing. We’re not gonna even talk remotely about that. Because it’s gonna take our entire roster…It’s the Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks.”

The Heat currently have a 1-0 lead in the series, but if Butler’s injury is serious, it could lead to the Knicks making a comeback and ultimately winning the series. Hopefully, fans will get an injury update about the superstar sooner rather than later.
