The Golden State Warriors stunned the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the playoffs after coming back from being down 0-2.

Stephen Curry exploded for a 50-point performance in Game 7 of the series. After the game was over, Domantas Sabonis of the Kings didn’t even bother to shake hands with the Dubs’ player. Draymond Green explained how this behavior by Sabonis made him lose respect for the Kings’ center.

“Lost a lot of respect for Sabonis,” Green said. “You don’t want to shake guys’ hands after you lose, I don’t respect that. I once left the court when we lost in Game 7 against Cleveland Cavaliers. And I went to my locker room, I sat down, and I said, ‘This don’t feel right.’ And I walked back to the court, and I showed everybody love. You lost; deal with it. Pay your respect. That was whack to me. … I don’t respect that. That’s whack.”

Sabonis finished the critical Game 7 with 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. It was a decent performance, but certainly not enough to help the Kings advance to the Western Conference Semifinals.

For the series, the Kings’ big man averaged 16.4 PPG, 11.0 RPG, 4.7 APG, 1.4 SPG, and 0.9 BPG while shooting 49.5% from the field and 20.0% from downtown.

Draymond Green And Domantas Sabonis Aren’t On Good Terms

The Warriors vs. Kings series was full of memorable moments for the fans. One such incident that fans won’t forget in a hurry was when Draymond Green stomped on Domantas Sabonis’ chest during Game 2 of the series.

Green was ejected from the game and even received a one-game suspension for his actions. Despite being in the wrong, the Warriors’ veteran defended his actions by claiming Sabonis instigated the fight by grabbing his leg.

Either way, Sabonis wasn’t at the top of his game after the incident, and it certainly played a role in the Kings’ getting outplayed by the defending champions of the league;.
