The Miami Heat are a franchise with a brief yet rich history as a franchise. Despite being an expansion franchise that was introduced in 1988, the Heat are already three-time champions with six Finals appearances to their name.

Jimmy Butler just led them to their second Finals in four seasons, both ending with losses. Despite that, Butler is confident in his ability to lead the Heat to a title, declaring he will not be leaving the franchise and earn the title of ‘one-time NBA Champion’ by next year.

“I believe that with all my heart, that we, I, will win a Championship for the Heat because I don’t plan on playing for another NBA team. The next time I’m talking to ya’ll here, I’ll be a one-time NBA champion.”

Butler has been with the Heat since 2019 and is already establishing himself as a franchise legend. While he doesn’t have the championship success the likes of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade brought the franchise, he is the perfect fit for what the franchise represents. Butler is the living definition of Heat Culture, and he may soon get a superstar teammate to make his title dreams a reality.

Miami Heat Changing Clocks

With every passing day, it seems like Dame Time will be upon the city of Miami soon. Damian Lillard‘s trade saga is going to continue playing out over the next few weeks and maybe months, but the star has made it clear. He will not report to camp if he’s not sent to the Heat, putting the Blazers in a situation where they possibly hurt Lillard’s trade value by dragging this out.

With the comments Lillard has made, non-Heat teams will be averse to trading for him. This leads to the inevitable conclusion that Lillard will be wearing a Miami Heat jersey. He will be hoping to do it before the start of training camp, but it seems the Blazers will be content dragging this out into the start of the 2023-24 season if required.
