Joe Mazzulla and his alleged Quizlet account made headlines earlier this week, and going by his cryptic response, the account just may have belonged to the Boston Celtics coach.

On the season front, Mazzulla has been doing an incredible job with the Celtics placed comfortably on top of the Eastern Conference standings. They had a controversial offseason that ended with the franchise suspending their former coach Ime Udoka.

But the Boston that showed up on the game day was a different unit. They have been consistent, with the likes of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown leading the charge.

Recently, his Quizlet account was found, showing the scouting reports he had of various players. It appeared that Mazzulla studied a lot of big names and how they play, and when asked about it, he had a rather oblique response.

Joe Mazzulla’s Hilarious Response When Asked About His Quizlet Account

News of Mazzulla’s reported Quizlet account went viral on social media, prompting a journalist to ask if he indeed owned one, and for his part, the interim coach had a smile on his lips and a crisp one-liner for an answer.

According to The Athletic’s Jay King, Mazzulla said the platform was a great source for absorbing information. He said:

“Quizlet is a great resource for retaining information”.

The alleged account has since been deleted. But fans on social media firmly believed the account belonged to Mazzulla.

Here are some of the hilarious responses:

What if that really wasn’t his account but he wants his competitors to think it’s his

Why not use quizlet lol. All the players have probably used it before and are comfortable with it.

Dude is accidentally hilarious!

He is a coach in the NBA why use quizlet?

Bro gave that answer cuz he knew it was a dumb question

He said it like people keep asking him

cuz it’s a good tool to get test answers Almost verbatim when professors get lazy

I’m pretty sure there are ways to make quizlet private, Mazzula just never expect anyone to ever care enough to look. Most of the scouting reports are from a few years ago when he was an assistant coach

mean plenty of college professors use quizlet to teach there classes. It’s just a convenient learning tool that players/coaches can take advantage of. Plus a lot of young players have probably have grown up using it, so it’s something that’s familiar.

He was trying memorize defensive strategies for certain players & teams

Whether the account really belonged to Mazzulla will continue to make headlines, but for now, the Celtics will be focusing on more important matters at hand. On the game front, they take on the Orlando Magic next, followed by the Indiana Pacers.
