Ime Udoka Likely To Be Suspended For The Entire 2022-23 NBA Season By Boston Celtics

Ime Udoka

Ime Udoka is set to receive a huge punishment by the Boston Celtics after violating the team's organizational guidelines. The head coach just finished a season where he took his squad to the 2022 NBA Finals, where they lost to the Golden State Warriors. The C's were ready to take revenge this season, but now things look very complicated for them.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Udoka had an improper intimate and consensual relationship with a female member of the team staff, which led the team to make a drastic decision regarding the young coach.

Ime Udoka Likely To Be Suspended For The Entire 2022-23 NBA Season By Boston Celtics

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN now reports that Udoka is facing a suspension for the entire 2022-23 NBA campaign. The Celtics obviously didn't take this offense lightly and are ready to give Udoka a big punishment for his actions.

Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka is likely facing a suspension for the entire 2022-2023 season for his role in a consensual relationship with a female staff member, sources tell ESPN. A formal announcement is expected as soon as today.

Wojnarowski adds that assistant coach Joe Mazzulla is likely to become Boston's interim coach for the campaign.

What started as a great offseason for the Celtics, who added a couple of pieces to return to the Finals and win that elusive 18th NBA championship, is now turning into a nightmare. Seeing how things are around the league, with employees losing their fear to denounce the wrongdoings within organizations, it's easy to see why the Celtics are taking this matter seriously.

Udoka is now under fire for this, and things can only get worse for him now. The Celtics are expected to make an official announcement today, and one would imagine the coach will address this situation too.
