Shams Charania has recently revealed the action that Ime Udoka took to warrant this punishment. It seems as though Ime Udoka had an "intimate and consensual relationship" with a female member of the Boston Celtics staff, which was deemed in violation of the team's code of conduct.

There is no doubt that this sort of action is inappropriate for a head coach. It is unfortunate that Ime Udoka engaged in such an action, and it remains to be seen how long a potential suspension from the Boston Celtics may be.
It remains to be seen how well the Boston Celtics do to start the season. They definitely have the talent to stay afloat without coach Ime Udoka, but obviously, they are at their best when he's coaching. Hopefully, we see the team find a way to adapt in light of this extremely disappointing situation.
