James Harden lit up Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals series between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics, scoring 42 points and hitting the game-winner.

He was responsible for their victory, and James Harden‘s second-best performance of the series came with rapper Lil Baby in attendance. The two have been friends for a while, and Lil Baby’s presence drew a hilarious comment from one fan on Twitter.

Jordan Poole has been notorious for dropping huge performances when particularly attractive women are sitting courtside. This charm hasn’t carried into the playoffs this season, but the meme is alive and well on the internet. And James Harden’s friendship with Lil Baby being joked about too, means a crossover like this was inevitable at some point. Harden was also seen talking and sharing a moment with Lil Baby after the game.

What shouldn’t get lost in all the jokes about this though, is that James Harden dropped a career-defining performance. After he lit up the Celtics in Game 1, he was roasted for not performing at a high level in Game 2 and Game 3. It was on him to respond, which is exactly what he did by notching another 40-point playoff game and evening up the series going into Game 5.

James Harden Shared A Beautiful Moment With Michigan State Survivor John Hao After The Game

Sitting courtside was a very special guest of James Harden’s, John Hao, who he has been in touch with quite a bit recently. Hao is a survivor of the Michigan State shooting in which he was paralyzed due to injuries to his spinal cord. After hitting what would be the game-winner and clinching the win, Harden was seen giving his game-worn shoes to Hao

The focus remains clear for James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers. If they can beat the Boston Celtics, they will back themselves to go all the way and win the NBA championship this season. James Harden performing at a high level will be key to that, and he needs to pull two more of these performances out of his bag in the coming games.

As for Jordan Poole, if he doesn’t pick up his playoff form soon, he will continue to catch more strays on social media. People have been making fun of him quite a bit, but the only way to shut them up is by balling out. The Warriors are themselves in a precarious position down 2-1 against the Los Angeles Lakers.
