The Los Angeles Clippers signed Russell Westbrook after the 2016-17 NBA MVP completed his buyout with the Utah Jazz. Initially, it took Russ some time to get settled in with the team.

Now, Westbrook has become an essential member of the franchise. He’s been handling the playmaking duties for the Los Angeles Clippers. Thus, allowing Kawhi Leonard to focus on leading the team to victory with his performances on the offensive end of the floor. Leonard recently shared his true feelings about Russ’ impact on the Clippers.

“Just having a Hall-of-Fame point guard on the floor,” Kawhi said. “He brings energy to the team, he brings pace. He plays both ends of the floor. Defensively, he rebounds the ball and can guard shots. He’s been doing a great job.”

Kawhi Leonard had nothing but praise for Westbrook since his arrival on the team. It’s great to see Kawhi and Russ being on the same page. It will certainly benefit the Clippers during the postseason.

Westbrook is currently averaging 14.1 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 7.3 APG, 1.2 SPG, and 0.4 BPG for the Clippers. Considering the fact that he has played just 13 games for the team, fans should expect Westbrook’s stats to only get better in the future.

Russell Westbrook And Kawhi Leonard Need To Step Up Their Game In The Absence Of Paul George

The Los Angeles Clippers’ Tuesday night game against the Oklahoma City Thunder came with a piece of bad news as their star, Paul George, suffered a knee injury.

George walked out of the game, and it instantly felt like a serious injury. It was later confirmed by NBA analyst Shams Charania that the Clippers are extremely worried about PG’s injury right before the playoffs. The Clippers superstar is expected to miss at least two-three weeks of action due to the injury.

Keeping that in mind, the responsibility to make sure the Clippers do not lose too many games falls on the shoulders of Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook.

Will Leonard and Westbrook be able to fill in the void left by Paul George? Only time will tell.
