Stephen Curry almost cost the Golden State Warriors a Game 4 win when he tried calling a timeout after the team had none left with a 5-point lead and 42 seconds on the clock.
Klay Thompson was walking out of the arena and openly said ‘Stephen C-Webb Curry’, referencing Curry in the same breath as Chris Webber, who infamously lost the University of Michigan the 1993 NCAA Championship after calling for a timeout when they had none left.

Curry’s gaffe wasn’t nearly as costly, as the Warriors held on to win the game by one point. If Golden State ended up losing the game, this blunder would weigh heavily on the minds of Curry and everyone else in the locker room, not to mention the fans. Good thing he also had 32 points on the night as well. Thompson had positive things to say about Curry to the media after the game.
Will Golden State Continue Their Electric Form In Game 5?
The Golden State Warriors will be determined to pick up their first road win of the series in Game 5 in the Golden One Center in Sacramento. The Warriors have been notoriously bad on the road and they will need to win at least one road game in the series if they want to advance to the next round.
The Sacramento Kings will have a hampered De’Aaron Fox on the court, who is playing through a finger fracture. It is the same kind of fracture that Kobe Bryant played through in the 2008 run to the Finals, so Fox will definitely try to impact the game on the court.
Game 5 will be a war, as the Kings are looking to prove they aren’t pushovers while the Warriors are looking to prove that their run as a championship dynasty isn’t over yet.
