The Los Angeles Lakers have not had the start they were hoping for when it comes to their preseason games. While these games don’t hold too much significance in the larger scheme of the season, the Lakers would have been hoping to have at least one win in the preseason.

So far, the Lakers have lost all 4 of their opening preseason games against the Nets, Suns, and Warriors. Russell Westbrook has looked especially poor, committing a lot of turnovers during his games, something he addressed in a joking manner recently.

But there is cause for concern for the Lakers. They will be hoping that Westbrook’s turnovers are just a result of a lack of chemistry. And going forward, they do need to get more reps in as a team, especially for the big three of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook.

And it appears that will begin from tonight. After the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss to the Phoenix Suns, Anthony Davis revealed that the trio would be making their debut together for the Lakers in their next preseason game against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.

Anthony Davis says him, LeBron and Russell Westbrook will all play together for the first time in Tuesday’s preseason game against Golden State. AD added that he’ll be playing the 5 with that group.

This will be the first opportunity for fans as well to get a look at the Lakers’ big three. While all three players have played preseason games for the Lakers so far, they haven’t taken the court together as a trio. And with the new NBA season beginning next week, perhaps they felt the need to get a chance to play together.

The Lakers will hope that they are able to click instantly after playing together in different pairings and having a few games individually under their belt. Westbrook has gotten the chance to play with both LeBron James and Anthony Davis so far.

Russ has mentioned that he needs to adapt to their games going forward. So playing with both of them regularly will give him a chance to do that.
