LeBron James is generally respected in the league, and many players have spoken about how great of a player and person he is. However, no-one is without their haters, and LeBron James definitely has a few.

One of the people who have been critical of LeBron James is Celtics center Enes Kanter, who has repeatedly blasted LeBron James over his association with Nike and China.

LeBron James was recently asked about Enes Kanter, and he stated that he wasn’t going to give his energy to the Turkish center. James also stated that Kanter’s always had something to say to him, and didn’t take the opportunity to face him like a man. An article by Sportsnet relayed the news.

“I don’t really give too many people my energy. And he’s definitely not someone I will give my energy to. Trying to use my name to create an opportunity for himself. Definitely won’t comment too much on that, if any, and that will be where I lay at that.

He’s always kind of had a word or two to say in my direction, and as men, really, if you had an issue with somebody you’d really come up to them. And he had his opportunity tonight. I saw him in the hallway and he walked right by me.”

It’s fair to want an explanation from someone if they repeatedly attack you. LeBron James didn’t get one from Enes Kanter today, and there was also footage that went viral on Twitter as shown below, which showed Kanter avoiding even making eye contact with James.

While Enes Kanter has criticized LeBron James about his stance on China, there have been times that he has agreed with James. For example, Kanter supported James when he was criticized by notable soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic for speaking about matters of social injustice.

It remains to be seen if the two ever end up speaking about Enes Kanter’s latest comments attacking LeBron James and Nike. As of now though, it seems fairly unlikely for the duo to reconcile, especially after LeBron James’ latest statement.
