• Bryce James will be transferring from Sierra Canyon to Notre Dame High School

• James had initially enrolled at Campbell Hall but will be attending Notre Dame instead

• The 16-year-old played sparingly in his first two years with Sierra Canyon

Bryce James just completed his own version of his father’s iconic ‘The Decision‘ after electing to leave Sierra Canyon High School after his sophomore year. He has elected to join Notre Dame High School from Sherman Oaks, California, for the 2023-24 season.

LeBron James is excited for this new chapter in his son’s high school career as he looks to progress beyond being a 3-star recruit.

“H.I.M. Let’s go Maximus!!”

Bryce averaged 3.8 points per game in 12 varsity appearances last season. He initially enrolled at Campbell Hall but has now officially joined Notre Dame.

He will join highly-touted prospect Mercy Miller, the son of rapper Master P, along with AAU teammate Tee Bartlett, a 6’10” center. Notre Dame is the reigning CIF State Division champion.

Bryce James Looking To Be An NBA-Caliber Prospect

With his father being the all-time leading scorer in NBA history and brother expected to be a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Bryce will also expect to eventually make the league. Bronny’s NBA future is in jeopardy after his recent cardiac arrest, but Bryce has been hard at work in the gym to ensure he can reach the same level on the court as his elder brother.

Bryce is currently a modest 3-star recruit. Bronny didn’t become a five-star recruit until his senior year in high school, so there’s plenty still to come from the younger James.

He couldn’t get on the floor much for Sierra Canyon but will hope to be an integral piece of the Notre Dame core for the next two seasons. They will have high expectations to retain their state title, so Bryce will hope to instantly impact the game with his 3-and-D ability, along with flashes of decent playmaking.
