There was some cause for celebration on Saturday in the NBA world, as Joel Embiid finally tied the knot with long-time partner Anne de Paula in the Hamptons.

With it being such a big occasion, his Philadelphia 76ers teammates were obviously going to be present. A picture of Embiid with some of his them went viral, but fans quickly noticed that James Harden wasn’t in it and reacted to it.

One believes Harden is gone from the Sixers.

One joked that Harden has held out from the wedding.

This was the confirmation a fan needed that Harden is gone.

One fan believes Embiid didn’t invite Harden.

A fan thinks Harden really meant it when he stated it was time to get uncomfortable.

It is still a bit unclear whether Harden attended or not, but he hasn’t been seen in any of the videos or pictures that have been released. The fact that Georges Niang, who is no longer even on the Sixers, was in that picture but Harden wasn’t, is saying something.

He clearly still wants to leave the team after handing in that trade request and recently removed all Sixers affiliation from his social media as well. It is a real shame if Harden and Embiid’s relationship has deteriorated to the point that either he didn’t show up or wasn’t invited, as they seemed so close just a couple of months back.

It could also be possible, that he was there, but just wasn’t captured by the cameras, but that just seems unlikely. What lends some more credence to the notion that he didn’t attend is that Harden shared a story on Instagram of him with some burgers at a club on Saturday night.

This is either some terrible timing or just letting everyone know that he couldn’t care less.

What The Sixers Want In Return For James Harden

It has been nearly a month now since Harden requested a trade, but he remains with the team. His frustrations would have grown as time has gone by, but the Sixers are not going to be trading him for pennies.

GM Daryl Morey made it clear they would only trade Harden if they get a very good player or something that they can turn into a very good player. Morey added that they wouldn’t trade him if no one was offering that for the former MVP.

Harden may be well past his best, but he still averaged 21.0 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 10.7 APG, 1.2 SPG, and 0.5 BPG last season. It won’t be easy to replace that kind of production and Morey knows that, which is why he is hoping that the star guard changes his mind and stays with them.
