Nikola Jokic has been the center of discussion all season. With a 3rd consecutive MVP award looking like a possibility for the big man, there has been rampant discussion about if he should get it. And whether someone thinks Jokic is the MVP or not, all NBA fans will agree that he needs to make it happen in the playoffs this season. And it seems Jokic is ready for the challenge, at least his hair is.

A video of the ‘playoff haircut’ went viral, with Jokic seemingly having trimmed the sides and the back of his hair entirely. It gives him a bit of an intense look, which is what fans want to see from him in the playoffs. And the reactions were already coming in, with one fan writing, “It’s already over.”

But while some think the haircut is a sign of great things to come in the playoffs, others don’t agree. One fan wrote, “Nah fam ain’t no way that cut making a finals appearance where is NICO?”

Nikola Jokic needs to win a championship if he wants the slander around him to quiet down a bit. But even getting to the NBA Finals will be a big step. And one fan thinks the haircut means the Nuggets are getting there, saying, “Jokic wit a boosie fade yea they winning the West.”

The one thing Nikola Jokic has got going is his consistency. He delivers regularly for the Nuggets, one can always know what to expect from him. And one fan thinks this haircut won’t change that: “This haircut is either avg 40-12-5 or 20-17-12 and no in between.”

NBA Analysts Think Nikola Jokic Needs To Make It To The NBA Finals

Most back-to-back MVPs have been to NBA Finals and even won championships. And Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal agree that Nikola Jokic needs to get there, too if he wants his respect.

“It doesn’t matter matchups. They probably have to get to the Finals. You can’t win back-to-back MVPs and be in the conversation for the third one and don’t get to the Finals. When you’re the MVP… He’s won two! He [Nikola Jokic] has to get to the Finals!”

The Denver Nuggets are the No. 1 seed and have a healthy roster heading into the playoffs. They will face either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round. Whichever team it is, they need to take care of business, and Nikola Jokic needs to shine.
