James Harden is seemingly looking to move teams again. He recently removed all of the Philadelphia 76ers affiliations from his social media accounts.

The former MVP has had a tumultuous few years, having jumped ship twice in the last three seasons. And if he has his way, he could be on the move again. Harden wants to play in his hometown for the LA Clippers, but other teams are interested in him as well.

One team that wouldn’t be going for James Harden is the Miami Heat. NBA insider Keith Smith explained that James Harden isn’t an enticing option for the Heat if Lillard doesn’t work out. He added that Harden doesn’t fit into the Heat culture, despite being a very talented player, and his life off the court could deter Pat Riley from making the deal.

“I don’t feel like James Harden exactly screams out ‘Heat Culture’ and hard work. I’m not picking on James Harden. I think the vast majority of his career, he has played very hard and has had a great career…”

“Well-reported stories of James Harden left the strip club at 6 AM, slept for an hour, went to shoot-around, and then dropped 50 that night. Some guys were just that way. MJ was that way…”

“I’d maybe be slightly bit terrified of James Harden in Miami all the time, that’s a little worrisome… watch him land in one of the spots and rip off an MVP season. James Harden wins MVP, on two hours of sleep a night on a stripper-fueled rampage through the league.”

Harden does lead quite an extravagant life off the court. However, Harden was interested in joining the Heat before he was traded to Brooklyn in 2021. And there is no way he wouldn’t have known about Heat culture and how the franchise expects their players to behave if he wanted to play there.

Where Will James Harden End Up This Time?

While nothing can be said for sure, it is looking more and more likely that Harden will end up leaving the 76ers this season. It was recently reported that Harden’s relationship with the 76ers’ president of basketball operations Daryl Morey is fractured.

Considering how crucial Morey was in landing Harden in Philly, that could be a major sign that The Beard’s time in Philly is over. Harden has reportedly told the team that he wants to play for the LA Clippers, with a desire to reunite with his former OKC and Rockets teammate Russell Westbrook.

It appears as though Harden is not going to boycott training camp, however, as he looks for a move. Considering how Harden attended training camp in Houston to force a move out of the franchise, don’t be surprised if his arrival at training camp in Philly upsets players, executives, and fans of the 76ers.
