Andrew Wiggins is a winner on the court and by the looks of it, he is one fine gentleman off it as well. Wiggins won his first NBA championship this season as he was a vital contributor for the Golden State Warriors and he has been getting plenty of praise for his performances.

He probably deserves some for being a great father too, as his girlfriend took some time on Father’s Day to post some wholesome photos of Wiggins and his daughters, with the caption “The best daddy”.

Wiggins became a father for the first time back in 2018 with his girlfriend Mychal Johnson, and the two welcomed another baby girl in 2021. They evidently share a great relationship that started all the way back in 2013 and Wiggins has been a model father to his kids.

Johnson also celebrated her boyfriend’s title win on the court after Game 6 and she had every reason to be incredibly proud of him. Wiggins was outstanding in the Finals and was clearly their second-best player in that series. While many were expecting Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, and Draymond Green to play the main supporting roles to Steph Curry, it was Wiggins who stepped up to the plate as the aforementioned trio struggled against the Celtics.

He also showed up big time on the defensive end as he put the clamps on Jayson Tatum and the Celtics star ended up having his worst series in what had been up to that point, a brilliant postseason run.

After he caught a lot of flak early on in his career for not being a winning player, Wiggins has silenced his doubters and has proven that he can be a key contributor to a winning cause. He showed up when his team needed him the most and if he can build on his displays here, he will go on to be very successful the rest of the way as well.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
