Brad Stevens On LeBron James: “He’s As Special As Special Gets. He’d Be A Multiple-Time More MVP Winner If People Didn’t Get Bored And Look For Other Things To Discuss.”

2 Min Read

LeBron James is indisputably the best player in the world as of this moment. Most people would agree that among current players, LeBron James’ basketball ability is out of this world. Many opponents have fallen victim to LeBron James and his amazing ability to carry a team: the Boston Celtics are no different. James is a legendary basketball player, and we are lucky to be able to witness his greatness.

Ahead of the Celtics-Lakers matchup, coach Brad Stevens praised LeBron James. Brad Stevens knows how good LeBron James is first hand, after being eliminated by him multiple times during the postseason.

There have been many times where people have thought that LeBron James should have won the MVP over the person actually ended up winning. It is also true that it would get boring to see the same player win the MVP award many years in a row. But LeBron James’ strength isn’t the regular season: it is the postseason. LeBron James is a different player when it comes to playing at the highest stage, and everybody knows that. Brad Stevens is one of those people.

The MVP is a regular-season award, so other players could possibly win it by having a better season than James, but he is unrivaled during the playoffs. While LeBron James may have deserved more MVP awards, he still managed to get four, which is a fairly good amount. Even if he never gets another MVP award, Brad Stevens is right: LeBron James is as special as it gets.
