Derrick Rose Says He Doesn’t Watch The NBA: “I Don’t Watch Basketball, Bro.”

One would think that being an NBA basketball player, Derrick Rose would be an avid watcher of the game as well, if not for educational reasons, then for the sheer joy of it.

But, surprisingly, Rose recently admitted he straight up doesn’t watch the games, devoting his screen-watching time to shows instead.

Derrick Rose doesn't watch NBA when he's not playing. Only knew Suns are 2nd in West today after someone told him.
Rose: "I don’t watch basketball, bro."
He said he likes to watch shows instead. He just finished watching Billions.
Rose: "Great, great show."

Apparently, DRose doesn’t really keep up with what’s happening around the league. If he didn’t know the Suns were second, who knows what else he is in the dark about?

Nonetheless, it doesn’t seem to be affecting his play so much. This season, Rose has averaged 13.8 points, 4.1 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game on 44.8% shooting.

As for the Knicks, they’re in the middle of a fantastic run that has them fourth in the Eastern Conference. Behind the play of Rose, Randle, Barrett, and others they’ve led the franchise to more success than they’ve seen in years.

So, perhaps Rose is doing it right: when you’re on the court, play your heart out. When you’re off? Just enjoy the moment.
