Kevin Durant has had a fantastic career in the NBA. There’s no doubt that he’s an all-time great scorer. He has notably won two championships with the Golden State Warriors and was a league MVP in 2014.

Prior to him being drafted to the league, Kevin Durant had a solid year with the University of Texas Longhorns. He averaged 25.8 PPG, 11.1 RPG, and 1.3 APG in 35 games with the university.

It seems as though the University of Texas will be inducting Kevin Durant to their Hall of Honor this year, with the ceremony happening on September 16th. There is no doubt that Kevin Durant deserves it, and his number 35 is already retired at Texas. Kevin Durant also notably shared a link to the announcement on his Twitter page.

Eleven former University of Texas student-athletes will be inducted this September into the Texas Athletics Hall of Honor. These 11 individuals will be recognized as the Class of 2022 in an induction ceremony on Friday, Sept. 16.

Kevin Durant (Basketball, 2006-07), one of the most decorated Longhorns ever who was a Collegiate National Player of the Year and had his jersey number 35 retired at Texas, three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, two-time NBA Champion and 2014 NBA Most Valuable Player, as well as a 12-time NBA All-Star

The newest members of the Hall will receive a special salute during the Texas Football game versus UTSA on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Kevin Durant is one of the best basketball players ever and is one of the greatest Texas Longhorns ever. Despite his ability, he still has a lot of haters, and hopefully, he can shut them up in the future.

As of right now, Kevin Durant is mostly in the media because he submitted a trade request to the Brooklyn Nets. This announcement is definitely a change from the constant trade speculation. Hopefully, though, Kevin Durant ends up on a franchise where he can win a championship and we’ll have to wait to see where the Nets end up moving him.
