LeBron James has made history in the NBA once again. After a hot start against the Philadelphia 76ers in their game tonight at the Crypto.com Arena, James scored a rapid 12 points in the first 7 minutes of the game, putting on a mid-range clinic. His 12th point put his career total at 38,001.

He is 386 points behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and is officially on track to surpass him on the all-time scoring list in the second week of February.

James is having an incredible individual season, overcoming a slow start to be the leader for the Lakers and help them climb up the table after Anthony Davis went out with injury. Fans were overjoyed to see LBJ reach another historic milestone in his chase of Kareem as the all-time leader.

Whether you hate him or love him, there’s no doubting the numbers LeBron has been able to put up in his career. Nobody flukes their way to this sort of a record and is the ultimate nod to his longevity, which is re-writing the history books. He is averaging 29.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists this season.

Can LeBron James Add To His Tally Of Playoff Points This Season?

LeBron is the all-time leading scorer in the playoffs already and is actually the overall all-time leading scorer when regular season and playoff points are put together. He hasn’t been able to add to his playoff numbers since the 2021 playoffs, missing it last season and currently sitting as the 13th seed in the West.

The Lakers are just a couple of games out from the 6th seed, so anything can still happen in the weakest Western Conference in a while. There is a lot of talent in the West, so no easy wins will be coming the Lakers’ way. Hopefully, Anthony Davis returning within the next 2 weeks will give them the boost they need after LeBron has kept the ship steady in his absence.
