Stephen Curry and Allen Iverson are among the two greatest guards we have ever seen in the NBA. Some argue that Curry might be the best point guard of all time, though Magic Johnson still holds more favor in that respect. Iverson never won a championship, but he’s always put up for debate as a top-3 shooting guard of all time, behind Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, battling Dwyane Wade for the third spot.

Getting to do a photoshoot with these guards who are small on the court but titans off the court must be exciting. Kevin Hart felt the same way until he realized that they might be short basketball players, but he is still significantly shorter than them.

In a photoshoot featuring Stephen Curry and Allen Iverson holding basketballs, Hart was given a mini-basketball while the NBA athletes were given regular-sized basketballs. This is a fact that Hart pointed out on his Instagram and gave everyone a laugh.

Hart has been in and around the NBA world for years, as he is a massive fan of the sport. Many NBA athletes have personal relationships with Hart and regularly appear on his show ‘Cold As Balls’ to discuss their careers while sitting in an ice bath with Hart. Iverson is a former guest.

The Value Of Guards In NBA History

The point guard and the shooting guard are arguably two of the most valuable positions in the modern NBA due to the scoring arsenal they can bring to the court. A floor general and a scoring wing make for a tremendous combination, and the league has an illustrious history of some gifted guards beyond Curry and Iverson.

We’ve discussed the all-time players that they rank behind for many, but there are many legendary players that are at their level or slightly below it. This includes James Harden, John Stockton, Ray Allen, Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, and so many other legends of the game.

The point guard sets the floor for everyone and can be a playmaking and defensive wizard like Stockton or an incredible scoring threat like Curry. The 2-guard is the one that’s supposed to be the microwave scorer that would end up taking the final shot of a game, something Iverson definitely was. The all-time shooting guards are also defensively adept, as the responsibility on them has always been heavy, yet they carried on and dominated their eras.
