Toni Kukoc On How Hard Was To Party With Dennis Rodman: “You Need A 7 To 10 Days Recovery Period Afterward”

We all know Dennis Rodman had a lifestyle that wasn’t meant for most people. He could be grabbing 20 rebounds in one NBA game and the next hour he was partying like there was no tomorrow. Rodman could keep this pace without any problem; he was just different. However, only he could do that. He invited some Chicago Bulls to celebrate with him and it’s fair to say nobody could keep up with Rodman.

During an interview in 2017, Toni Kukoc remembered the first and last time he went to party with Rodman, how crazy the power forward went and how surprised he and other Bulls members were to see Dennis doing all those things without suffering any hangover the next morning.

“It’s a special type of story, and I couldn’t keep up with him. I partied only once with him because, after that, you need a 7 to 10 days recovery period afterward,” Kukoc said, via Svlačionica (as transcribed by Basketball Network).

Kukoc recalled that that night Rodman was buying drinks for everybody since he was trying to keep the bar open.

“There were four of us out, and the first thing he ordered for a drink was 40 shots of vodka and ten beers. I asked him if there are more people coming, and he just said it’s important to keep the bar open. Everybody who was at the bar that night, he had free food and drinks on Rodman.”

We all know the kinds of stuff he used to do during his active days but learning about them from one of his teammates -who was shocked as anybody else would be by Dennis party style- hits different. Well, that’s one of the reasons Rodman is so great, he did know how to party.
