Trade Rumors Heat Up After John Wall Gets Spotted With Paul George In Beverly Hills

2 Min Read

With John Wall’s time in Houston on a ticking clock, it’s only a matter of time before he gets dealt to another team.

Nobody is expecting Wall to get traded anytime soon, as the Rockets want to maximize their leverage — but rumors have begun to swirl after a recent video went viral on Twitter.

The 55-second clip features Wall hanging out in Beverly Hills, apparently in the company of Paul George. Ben Simmons was also in attendance.

The Clippers stood by and watched as the Lakers compiled a bunch of great players, including Russell Westbrook, Dwight Howard, and Rajon Rondo.

All the while, Paul George and co. remained mostly inactive, making minor moves to fill out their bench more than anything else.

Could John Wall be the Clippers’ big splash?

It’s no secret that the 10-year veteran is no longer the player that he used to be, but he still brings a lot to the table as a ball-handler and distributor.

Plus, according to reports, there is some real interest on the Clippers’ part in bringing in Wall, and they’ve apparently even done some negotiating.

“According to sources, the Los Angeles Clippers have negotiated a trade with the Houston Rockets for five-time All-Star John Wall. However, they aren’t the only competitors pursuing the North Carolina native. The Detroit Pistons and Miami Heat are also expressing interest in trading for the 10-year veteran. Though, one of the biggest roadblocks preventing Rockets general manager Rafael Stone from shopping Wall is his outrageous contract. Furthermore, there are no buyout plans for the veteran,” said James Foglio of Basketball Insiders.

With no move imminent at this time, it remains to be seen how the John Wall sweepstakes will play out. Will he land with the Clippers? Will he ever be an All-Star again?

We’ll see before too long how what the future holds in store.
