The Boston Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves have two stars that somehow have been linked with moves away from these teams. This is always shocking, considering that they are important pieces of their present and future.

However, many people keep mentioning both Jaylen Brown and Karl-Anthony Towns in trade rumors, and recently, one NBA executive proposed an exchange involving these two stars.

“Among the teams executives mentioned as potential suitors for Towns: Brooklyn and Miami (two teams that will inevitably come up in any potential superstar trade talks in the next six months, though the Heat’s Jimmy Butler has a rocky history with Towns), Portland (in a Damian Lillard deal?) and Indiana. Should Boston consider dealing away All-Star wing Jaylen Brown, which is a longshot, the Celtics could offer the best single player in return for Towns.”

This would be shocking to see, especially from the Celtics. The 17-time NBA champions have a very versatile player in Brown, one of the best two-way threats in the league and somebody who has meshed pretty well with Jayson Tatum.

Brown has made it clear he won’t leave Tatum just like that, but in this hypothetical scenario, the C’s are the ones parting ways with their star. Still, landing Towns would decrease their ability to have a more fluid offense. He can spread the floor, of course, but KAT is a one-way center, which doesn’t give the team as many tools as Brown does.

As for the T-Wolves, they would get a lot better with a Big 3 of Brown, Anthony Edwards, and Rudy Gobert. This trade would make a lot of sense for them, but as the executive said, it’s a long shot right now.

Then again, Brown has been mentioned in trade rumors, and his relationship with the team doesn’t seem to be the best right now. So this could be a way for him to get out of Boston.

Jaylen Brown Has Been Linked With Other Teams Recently

Other teams have been mentioned among potential suitors for Jaylen’s services. The Houston Rockets are entering a new era with Ime Udoka, and a reunion with Brown could be good for them.

The Rockets are reportedly interested in trading Jalen Green for an established star, and that could be Brown, although they have other options on the table.
