Houston Rockets Could Trade Jalen Green For A Star

Jalen Green could be on his way out of Houston if the Rockets decide to move him for a star.

The Houston Rockets are starting fresh next season after a couple of difficult years with Stephen Silas as their head coach. The young team never clicked with their former head coach, forcing the front office to look for a change of direction.

With Ime Udoka now taking over, the Rockets could return to their old glories, but they could make some big moves in the process to become competitive again. This includes moving from Jalen Green.

“The Rockets, sources said, also addressed the idea of including second-year guard Jalen Green, the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, as part of a package for acquiring established star talent,” Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports reports.

This would be a big shock since Green landed in Houston to be their next big star following James Harden’s departure. Now, it is James Harden’s potential return that could prompt the Rockets to part ways with their young star.

Depending on how this season ends for the Philadelphia 76ers, the Rockets could bring Harden back after two years. After Udoka landed in Houston, they have been mentioned with more players, including the controversial Dillon Brooks and Boston Celtics’ star Jaylen Brown.

It seems like things could change really quickly for the Rockets, who were one of the worst teams in the league this season.

Houston Rockets Are Entering A New Era With Ime Udoka

However, the arrival of Udoka could push them to bring more established players to the roster. They have a young and talented core to develop, but if they want to win now, some hard decisions need to be made.

Kevin Porter Jr. appears to be sold on this project, but if the team decides he needs to go, he’ll go. Green has shown flashes of what he can do in the future, which is why many teams could take him in a potential trade. The Rockets now have two paths to pick, and this offseason will answer all the questions their fans might have right now.
